On Saturday, October 16, 2010 the Pregnancy Resource Center of Stanly County will be hosting the annual Walk for Life. Registration begins at 9am in the Pavilion at the YMCA Park on N. Second Street and is followed by a 2 mile walk. The day will wrap up with music and refreshments.
The Walk for Life is a celebration of the sanctity of human life. The Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to offering to the community the love, hope, and truth of Jesus Christ concerning sexuality, marriage, and family. We befriend, educate, comfort, and support abortion vulnerable adults and teens before, during, and after pregnancy.
Walkers obtain pledges from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers and turn this in on the day of the walk. If you are unable to attend the Walk on October 16, you may walk on your own time and turn in your pledges directly to the PRC. This walk provides much of the PRC’s budget for the coming year.
Every walker bringing in pledges will receive a Walk-For-Life T-shirt and will be eligible for prizes that have been donated by local merchants.
